Founded in 1933 by Emile Chandesais, Maison Chandesais is located at Château de Saint Nicolas in Fontaines.
Situated north of the Côte Chalonnaise and in the immediate vicinity of the Côte de Beaune, Maison Chandesais is ideally located.
Using all our skills and know-how, Maison Chandesais selects, ages and blends each of its wines, combining authenticity, curiosity and innovation.
In 1960, having fallen in love with Beaujolais, Emile Chandesais built up his expertise and replicated the same work in the Beaujolais Crus.
Maison Chandesais produces 42 wines including 9 Premiers Crus. We focus on the prestigious village appellations such as Chassagne-Montrachet, Nuits Saint-Georges and Pommard… Through our range of wines, we therefore represent “La Grande Bourgogne” (Greater Burgundy).
Today, Maison Chandesais seeks to highlight the quality and the craftsmanship of the ageing process behind its wines. The ageing is very carefully worked, which allows the wine to express its terroir more fully and to take on a silky, elegant palate.
